Automated Traffic Signal Performance Measures, provide the capability to validate the performance of signalized intersections. The design of detection, control and communication systems must provide the capabilities required to pursue specific operations and maintenance objectives. It follows that the design must also support the data collection needs of performance measures to validate attainment of objectives. Peers from the private sector, state and local agencies will share their experience with the impacts of performance measures on how signalized intersections are designed and operated.
